Vice President – APAC | AI & Healthcare
About the Role
- We are partnering with a leading technology platform to appoint a Senior Commercial Head to drive the international expansion of its next-generation AI and healthcare solutions.
- This is a senior regional leadership role with primary responsibility for Southeast Asia with broader international exposure. The role will sit at the intersection of AI, healthcare technology, digital transformation and commercial strategy, working closely with healthcare providers, technology partners, enterprises and local ecosystems.
- The successful candidate will be responsible for translating advanced AI and large-language-model capabilities into practical healthcare applications and scalable commercial opportunities, from strategy and partnership development through to local implementation and market adoption.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the regional commercial strategy for AI-powered healthcare solutions across Southeast Asia and selected international markets.
- Identify and develop high-value opportunities across hospitals, healthcare groups, insurers, TPAs, digital health platforms, pharmaceutical companies and other healthcare ecosystems.
- Build and manage strategic partnerships with healthcare providers, technology companies, government-related organisations and local ecosystem partners.
- Translate AI / LLM capabilities into real-world healthcare use cases, including intelligent healthcare assistants, online consultation, appointment services, patient engagement, clinical workflows and hospital digitalisation.
- Develop commercial models covering solution partnerships, enterprise sales, platform collaboration, implementation and ecosystem-based models.
- Work closely with product, technology, AI and healthcare teams to localise solutions according to market requirements, healthcare systems, regulations and customer needs.
- Drive end-to-end execution from market strategy and business development through to partnership signing, implementation and commercial scale-up.
- Build senior-level relationships with key decision makers across healthcare and technology ecosystems.
- Develop market intelligence and provide strategic input on healthcare technology, AI adoption, competitive landscape and regulatory trends across APAC.
- Establish and scale the regional commercial organisation as the business expands internationally.
Requirements
- 15+ years of experience in healthcare, HealthTech, digital health, healthcare IT, enterprise technology or related sectors, with significant commercial leadership experience.
- Proven track record in regional business development, strategic partnerships, commercial strategy or P&L / business leadership.
- Strong understanding of healthcare ecosystems, particularly hospitals, healthcare providers, insurers / TPAs, healthcare technology and digital healthcare services.
- Demonstrated experience taking technology / software / digital solutions from concept to commercial adoption and large-scale implementation.
- Strong understanding of AI, digitalisation, information systems and emerging healthcare technologies. Deep technical AI expertise is not required, but the ability to understand and commercialise AI / LLM applications is essential.
- Experience working across Southeast Asia, ideally with strong exposure to Singapore, Malaysia and Indonesia.
- Strong understanding of local healthcare regulations, data governance, compliance and implementation considerations.
- Excellent strategic thinking combined with strong hands-on execution and commercial ownership.
- Strong network across the healthcare and technology ecosystem in APAC.
- Strong communication, stakeholder management and negotiation skills, with the ability to operate effectively with C-suite and senior government / healthcare stakeholders.
- Chinese language capability and strong familiarity with the Chinese business and technology ecosystem would be highly advantageous.
