We are partnering with a fast-growing, innovation-driven medical technology company specializing in advanced surgical solutions, including robotic-assisted systems and minimally invasive technologies. With strong R&D capabilities and a solid domestic foundation, the company is now entering an exciting phase of international expansion, with APAC as a key strategic market.


Role Overview

We are seeking an experienced and entrepreneurial APAC Sales Director to lead regional commercial expansion across Southeast Asia and broader Asia-Pacific markets.

This role will be responsible for building and executing go-to-market strategies, developing distributor networks, and driving revenue growth for a portfolio of surgical robotic and related medical devices.


Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute regional sales strategy across Southeast Asia / APAC in line with global expansion goals

  • Identify, appoint, and manage distributors and channel partners across key markets (e.g. Singapore, Malaysia, Thailand, Indonesia, Vietnam, etc.)

  • Drive commercial performance, including revenue growth, market penetration, and pipeline development

  • Lead key account engagement with hospitals, surgeons, and healthcare stakeholders

  • Collaborate closely with clinical, marketing, and regulatory teams to support product launches and market access

  • Provide market insights, competitive intelligence, and strategic recommendations to senior leadership

  • Build and potentially scale a regional commercial team over time


Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree or above; life sciences or business-related field preferred

  • 10+ years of commercial experience in medical devices, ideally within

    surgical / capital equipment / robotics / endoscopy

  • Proven track record in

    APAC or Southeast Asia market expansion

  • Strong experience managing distributors and indirect sales models

  • Prior exposure to surgical robotics or complex capital equipment is highly preferred

  • Entrepreneurial mindset with the ability to work in a fast-paced, build-from-scratch environment

  • Strong stakeholder management skills with cross-cultural experience

  • Willingness to travel across the region

  • Experience working in multinational MedTech companies or high-growth startups

  • Familiarity with regional regulatory and reimbursement landscapes

  • Existing network with KOLs, surgeons, and hospital procurement stakeholders
