About the Client
Our client is a reputable Global Logistics MNC. The company is known for providing excellent Freight Forwarding, Warehousing & Supply Chain Management Services to achieve maximized customer satisfaction.
Main Duties and Responsibilities
They are currently on an active lookout for a suitable candidate as a Warehouse Supervisor / Assistant Manager, responsible for Warehousing, Inventory Management, Compliance & Safety, Team Management activities.
Key responsibilities of this role would include:
Warehouse Operations
- Manage day-to-day warehouse activities, including receiving, storage, and dispatch of general cargo.
- Develop and implement warehouse procedures to ensure operational efficiency.
- Oversee the handling and storage of food and beverage products, ensuring compliance with food safety standards and regulations.
- Supervise cold chain management, ensuring optimal storage conditions for temperature-sensitive goods (chillers, freezers).
Inventory Management
- Ensure accurate inventory control through cycle counting and regular stock checks.
- Optimize space utilization and product flow to minimize delays and costs.
- Utilize warehouse management systems (WMS) to track inventory levels, shipments, and deliveries.
Team Leadership
- Lead, train, and manage warehouse staff, fostering a culture of safety and teamwork.
- Coordinate staffing needs and allocate resources to meet daily and long-term operational goals.
- Conduct performance reviews and provide feedback to enhance individual and team performance.
Compliance & Safety
- Ensure adherence to health, safety, and hygiene regulations within the warehouse.
- Implement and monitor food safety procedures, including HACCP (Hazard Analysis Critical Control Point) and GMP (Good Manufacturing Practice).
- Maintain equipment and facilities, scheduling regular maintenance and inspections of chiller systems and other machinery.
Reporting & Communication
- Provide regular operational reports to senior management, including KPI tracking for efficiency, safety, and quality.
- Coordinate with logistics, procurement, and customer service teams to ensure timely and accurate delivery of goods.
- Manage vendor relationships related to maintenance, refrigeration, and other operational needs.
Candidate Profile:
Work Location: Singapore
- Minimally possesses a Bachelor's Degree in Supply Chain Management or Logistics Management or Industrial Engineering related discipline
- Approximately 5 years of track records in warehouse operations, preferably within the F&B sector
- Strong knowledge of cold chain logistics, refrigeration systems, and chiller operations.
- Experience with warehouse management systems (WMS) and ERP systems.
- Strong understanding of food safety standards, including HACCP and GMP compliance.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with a strong focus on safety and efficiency.
- Excellent organizational, leadership, and problem-solving skills
- Certification in food safety or cold chain management would be advantageous
