Global bank in China is currently seeking an experienced professional to join our team in the role of Delivery Head.
Principal responsibilities
As Head of Equities Risk P&L IT China, this role will carry out some or all of the following activities:
- Establish and lead a high performance team of highly-skilled engineers that will share best practice and engineering excellence across the organization.
- Build and maintain a strong partnership with our business including our product owners to support our business growth by aligning our technical delivery road map with business roadmap.
- Be part of the global team and collaborate closely with teams in different regions to support our global business and project delivery.
- Developing and uplifting team overall engineering capability to support end to end delivery.
- Motivating the delivery team and promoting continuous improvement culture by creating a safe environment where team members feel valued, respected, and part of the organization's success.
- Financial control and P&L management to meet targets.
- Identifying and managing risks associated with project delivery, developing and implementing mitigation strategies.
- Developing and implementing performance metrics and regular reporting mechanisms to track team performance and deliverables.
- Talent management and succession planning.
- Managing third party vendors and vendor service providers.
Qualifications
The ideal candidate for this role would have excellent project management, leadership, and communication skills. They should have a successful track record in leading high-performing teams and delivering complex projects on time, on budget, and to the highest standards of quality. They should have experience in managing budgets, developing and implementing performance metrics, and reporting to senior stakeholders. Additionally, they should have a passion for delivering exceptional customer service and a commitment to continuous learning and development.
- 10+ years of experience in developing and implementing software solutions.
- Gravitas and ability to interact with and advise senior stakeholders in both IT and Business.
- Experience in working in an Agile environment with a strong focus on developing engineering solutions.
- Proven ability to improve team's engineering capability and productivity.
- Strong leadership skills, team-builder and influencer.
- Exposure and success working within a global matrix organization model.
- Proven track record in developing, managing and implementing effective stakeholder management strategies.
- Ability to think laterally and innovatively and find creative solutions, with a proactive approach to problem solving and delivery.
- Ability to understand business issues and devise solutions that deliver results, constructing fresh approaches where appropriate and making connections to other issues.
- Able to work within an ambiguous environment, prioritize and reconcile competing demands and resolve complex issues.
