Client Description

Our client is a global leader in specialty chemistry, providing programs and services across upstream, midstream, and downstream oil and gas operations. Their downstream division helps refiners maximise production, protect assets, and reduce environmental impact through advanced chemistries and on-site technical problem solving.

Role Description

You will manage and grow a book of refinery and petrochemical accounts, leading both commercial and technical delivery. You will drive new business development, maintain customer KPIs, and lead a sales and service team in the specialty chemicals space.

Key Responsibilities

• Maintain existing customer relationships and ensure smooth operations to achieve customer KPIs
• Grow revenue through new sales opportunities, pricing execution, and securing long-term profitability
• Work with the team to implement and deliver closed deals aligned to business targets
• Proactively identify and deliver value improvement projects at customer sites
• Lead and coach team on sales and technical training in specialty chemicals
• Develop and execute relationship strategies for target accounts

Requirements

• Bachelor's in Chemical Engineering; 8–10 years of relevant experience
• Strong leadership in safety and value project delivery
• Sales experience with senior stakeholders; proven in bidding and price negotiations
• Track record leading Business Reviews with refinery/petrochemical customers
• Experience coaching experienced sales and service teams
• Ability to prioritise and balance work and development activities
• Proven delivery of value improvement projects with direct/indirect savings
• CRM and Power BI experience advantageous
• Specialty chemicals background strongly preferred
