About the Opportunity

Our client is an established organisation within the manufacturing sector with operations across the region. They are seeking an experienced Finance Director to lead and strengthen the finance function in Singapore, partnering closely with senior leadership to drive financial performance, governance and transformation.


Roles & Responsibilities

  • Lead the full spectrum of finance and accounting operations, including financial reporting, management reporting, treasury, consolidation, budgeting, forecasting and period-end closing.
  • Strengthen financial governance, internal controls and finance processes to ensure accuracy, compliance, effective risk management and operational efficiency.
  • Lead and enhance the Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A) function, covering long-term planning, budgeting and forecasting, variance analysis, working capital management, financial modelling and performance analysis.
  • Provide meaningful financial insights and recommendations to senior management to support strategic and commercial decision-making.
  • Develop and enhance product costing methodologies appropriate for a manufacturing environment.
  • Partner cross-functionally with commercial, operations and corporate functions to improve business performance and support sustainable growth.
  • Support senior finance leadership on tax matters, transfer pricing, financial strategy and finance transformation initiatives.
  • Drive strategic finance projects including cost optimisation, process improvement, data analytics, business intelligence, automation and technology enablement.
  • Lead, develop and mentor the finance team, building a strong and high-performing finance function.
  • Undertake other finance-related initiatives and responsibilities as required.


Requirements

  • Relevant finance experience, including significant experience in a finance leadership capacity.
  • Strong manufacturing industry experience is required.
  • Degree in Accountancy, Finance or a related discipline; professional accounting qualifications such as CA/CPA would be advantageous.
  • Strong experience across financial reporting, FP&A, budgeting, forecasting and business performance analysis.
  • Good understanding of manufacturing finance and product costing.
  • Experience leveraging ERP/financial systems, data analytics and automation tools to improve finance processes and reporting.
  • Proven ability to lead, develop and mentor finance teams.
  • Strong stakeholder management and business partnering capabilities, with the ability to work effectively across multiple functions.
  • Excellent communication, analytical, problem-solving and organisational skills.
  • Chinese language proficiency would be advantageous for engagement with relevant stakeholders.
  • Proactive, hands-on and commercially minded, with the ability to operate effectively in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities.
