Main Duties and Responsibilities
Key responsibilities of this role would include:
- Accountable for supporting the design and development of category sourcing strategy within the division as a Subject-Matter-Expert, in alignment to the company's growth and supply requirements
- Accountable for the Review, development and implementation of new / existing supplier strategy by means of ensuring proper monitoring of market movements to support the various Product Line
- Support supplier reliability, supplier performance reviews and assist in contract negotiations
- Influence interface partners to ensure strategic cost savings with suppliers to ensure optimal company profits.
- Ensure efficient work partnership with Engineering, R&D, Quality and Factory Assembly teams etc to mitigate any cost / supplier quality and/or supply assurance issues
Candidate Profile
- Minimally Diploma in Logistics & Supply Chain Management / Engineering / Business or related studies
- Approximately 5 years of relevant procurement / purchasing / sourcing / category management, preferably within the High Mix, Low Volume Manufacturing Environment
- Excellent in multi-tasking as well as written, influencing & negotiation skills to drive process improvements to enhance & streamline process maturity and optimizing team work and synergy in the organisation
- Displays strong and affirmative leadership with a diplomatic and team player personality
- Good experience using ERP systems such as SAP or Oracle
- Excellent proficiency in MS Office suite
