Main Duties and Responsibilities
Reporting to the Materials Leader, you will be part of an integrated value-chain and is responsible for strategic cost-analysis:
- Influence interface partners to ensure strategic cost savings with suppliers to ensure optimal company profits during manufacturing process
- Lead in-depth cost analysis of Bill of Materials (BOM) to uncover potential cost reduction opportunities
- Review, develop and implement new supplier strategy by means of ensuring proper monitoring of market movements to support the various Product Line
- Drive and make happen strategic supplier risk management processes to ensure optimal quality improvement processes in place, including that of proper management of material non-conformance
- Support cost reduction / NPI projects, in alignment to NPI / product cost targets
- Ensure efficient work partnership with Engineering, R&D, Quality and Factory Assembly teams etc to mitigate any cost / supplier quality and/or supply assurance issues throughout entire product life cycle
Candidate Profile
- Minimally possesses a Bachelor's in Electrical / Electronics / Mechanical Engineering or related studies
- Approximately 5 years of experience in procurement engineering / process, preferably in Semiconductor Manufacturing fields
- Hands-on experience in geometric tolerances / technical drawings / understanding of BOM structure is advantageous.
- Excellent in multi-tasking as well as written, influencing, negotiation & analytical skills to drive process improvements to enhance & streamline process maturity and optimizing teamwork in the organisation
- Displays strong and affirmative leadership with a diplomatic and team player personality
- Good experience using ERP systems such as SAP, Oracle
- Excellent proficiency in MS Office
