About Our Client:

Our client is a leading Pharmaceutical MNC, with an extensive reach around the globe. They are at the forefront of medical breakthroughs, with a focus on developing cutting-edge therapies and diagnostics that make a real difference in patients' lives. They are currently looking for an experienced Head of Planning to enhance their end-to-end planning processes.

Role & Responsibilities:

Acting as the Subject Matter Expert, you will report to the Regional Head of Supply Chain based in China, and will be responsible in overseeing the entire planning process from upstream and downstream (regional S&Op meetings):

  • Spearhead the Regional's forecast alignment and consensus meetings with cross-functional team
  • Lead and drive China's S&Op cadence, processes and meetings
  • Design the various sales forecast scenarios and assumptions with a scientific approach alongside a comprehensive understanding of the Group's commercial strategies, the market competitive landscapes, policies, historical sales and future sales trends, etc.
  • Responsible for the sales forecast accuracy and forecast bias
  • Ensure readiness and success for New Product Innovation / Introduction supply chain strategy with various global and local teams
  • Supervise and overview the upstream planning process which includes materials planning, production planning, production scheduling and inventory management of raw materials and semi-finished goods
  • Business partner with key stakeholders internally and externally to ensure smooth implementation of Supply Chain programs and initiatives
  • Business partner and support Logistics and Manufacturing team to ensure smooth product flow

Candidate Profile:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Supply Chain / Business / Finance / or any relevant discipline or equivalent
  • 10+ years' of experience of Planning work experience preferred, including deep knowledge of upstream supply chain processes and end-to-end supply chain exposure will be ideal
  • 5+ years of experience in leading teams, matrix groups and projects
  • Deep understanding of the Pharmaceutical environment (organization set-up, market regulation, providers) and customer/patient segments and needs
  • Strong business acumen
  • Effective communicator with great presentation and facilitation skills
  • Effective problem solving skills and ability to partner closely with internal key stakeholders e.g. logistics, sales, R&D, manufacturing
  • Excellent knowledge with MS Office applications
  • Excellent knowledge of SAP will be advantageous
  • Willing to travel for work purposes
